The dates of our next mission trip have been set for the second week of January, from January 13 to January 20, 2013. Travel from Port Au Prince (PAP) to Chantal will be by bus or by plane. (Cost for a flight to Chantal from PAP is about $200 round trip). Since reservation cannot be made online, if you wish to fly to Les Cayes from Port-au-prince, please let Fr. Francois know so that he can make arrangements for you. There is a small donation of $500 that is required from each team member to buy medicines, pay translators, purchase food and transportation. These funds can be raised personally through donations. All checks are to be made to “KFC Council 6988, Share” for donations to be tax deductible and mailed to Fr. Is there any possibility of joining the team for the January mission? I realize December 1st was the last day to apply. I just found out that I will have the week off. I am an experienced PACU RN and am currently working as a sedation nurse at at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. My email is cwalenka@yahoo.com
Thank you,
Christine Walenkamp

Just back from Chantal, a bit tired but so happy to have been part of this wonderful mission once again. Although we had the largest number of participants ever, it was a very cohesive group and it was plain to see that everyone was willing to give their all for our Haitian friends. My prayers and thanks to Father Yves for without his love and enthusiasm these trips would not be possible. He is truly one in a million and I love him. I sincerely hope that all of you took something special away from this extraordinary experience as I always do and that you will consider joining us on our next mission. I know that all of our “friends” in Chantal are very thankful for our coming to them once again. God bless you all. Joya
